Worst Blogger Ever

Considering it has been more than a year since my previous blog attempt, I deem it appropriate to give myself the title of 'Worst Blogger Ever'.

The title also covers the fact that I never tweet and am notoriously forgetful at updating my facebook page. As a photographer I confess I am the worst self promoter ever known to the online man.

In fact I am so confident that I am the Worst Blogger Ever that I doubt anyone will ever read this.....

However, in case someone does read this, it is my opinion that just because someone is a fantastic blogger/tweeter/facebooker - doesn't exactly mean they are any good at what they do!! It simply means one has too much time on their hands. (If you would like to insult me for this comment please do so in a colourful, artistic way.)

So please know, in case you have stumbled upon this by accident, that although I am never really talking about much, I am dedicated to the real, tangible art of making beautiful pictures.

The Year That Is........2011!!

Well welcome 2011!! Come in, sit down, make yourself comfortable 2011. I am glad the year has finally started and we can now get underway with the important stuff.

There is no better way to start the year than with a day at Coogee Beach in sunny WA. This year we were certainly treated to an exciting new years day. After a morning spent jumping, diving, falling and sometimes getting shoved into the water, we were visited by not only sea snakes but even a big old shark!! Oh what fun.....

There is no better way to follow up a day at the beach then with an evening at the tennis! The Hopman Cup, hosted at the Burswood Dome in Perth every January is one of the best events of the year! This intimate venue allows everyone a fantastic view of some of the very best players in the world. For the previous 2 years, I have stood by Kazakhstan - although they rarely win - I am always entertained!! Usually I am the only one screaming for them, so if you were at last nights match, wondering who that nut was......... ya it was me, sorry. Good times : )

The Year That was.....

It may seem that it is the first thing said or seen that leaves the longest impression. However, more often than not it is the last thing that leaves the greatest impression, that echoes in our minds or hearts long after. When it comes to photography, I feel that it should always be our latest work that is our best. Different maybe, yet always showing growth, shedding new light, or even just keeping up with the latest technology. 

So to reflect on 2010, SJH Photography is proud of the year that was. Thank you to everyone who I has stood bravely in front of my lens, endured my jokes and allowed me a glimpse into their most intimate moments. 

2011 is looking like an exciting year and I look forward to all those who are yet to meet me. You are in for a surprise!!!!
